Greetings friends

The next hearing of Chairman Peace Worldwide Mr. Hector Aleem is 10 December. You may remember that Hector was given seven years of punishment last December without any proof and statement of an Investigation officer or any document. The judge didn’t give the written copy of that decision because the decision was baseless and he didn’t have any reason to write in the decision, he gave the decision because of his grudge towards Hector. As a year has passed and we appealed the higher authorities to reverse the decision, finally the decision has reversed. Now fresh arguments will start on 10 December. The lawyer is doing a good job and we want our father out of the jail as soon as possible. You people have helped us these years and now the whole thing is at the end. I request you guys to help us and donate $30 to $50 and those who can donate more please donate more because we want to celebrate this Christmas with our father. This could work as fast as we want, the only hurdle is money. So please donate as much as you can.

Hector's Message on Tolerance Day

In 1996, theUN General Assembly (by resolution 51/95) invited UN Member States to observethe International Day for Tolerance on 16 November, with activities directedtowards both educational establishments and the wider public.

This action followed on the United Nations Year for Tolerance, 1995, proclaimedby the UN General Assembly in 1993 at the initiative of UNESCO, as outlined in the Declaration ofPrinciples on Tolerance and Follow-up Plan of Action for the Year.

The 2005 World SummitOutcome document (A/RES/60/1)furthered the commitment of Heads of State and Government to advance humanwelfare, freedom and progress everywhere, as well as to encourage tolerance,respect, dialogue and cooperation among different cultures, civilizations andpeoples.

This day is very importantbecause there is intolerance everywhere. Almost every human being on thisplanet is carrying intolerance in his/her mind and that intolerance often takesthe form of violence and other hate crimes. This day is not observed much likeother international Observance days because people are not tolerant to anythingthey don’t like.

There are two main reasonswhy people are intolerant to each other i.e. “Religion” and “Race”. We must allunderstand that we are same human beings no matter what our color of skin is. Racialintolerance was the reason behind World War 2 which destroyed the lives ofmillions around the globe.

Religious intolerance on theother hand is growing even more than racial intolerance. Almost every countryon this planet is in the grip of religious intolerance. There are religious extremistorganizations which are responsible for many terrorist attacks across theplanet. There is no religion which teaches any person to hate. There is onecommon message in all religions which is “love”.

So it’s better to put thedifferences aside and look what is common in us. We are all same and are equalto each other no matter what our race, culture, religion or language is. Wemust understand that we are human beings and we must tolerate each other inorder to live with peace and harmony. Tolerance is the one which separateshuman beings from animals. There is no tolerance in animals, but we aredifferent and we can tolerate each other.

As we all face the complexand global challenges of our times, Peace Worldwide will continue to work forthe mutual understanding among people and countries. Tolerate each other, notonly for yourselves but for your coming generations.

Update About Hector Aleem (18th August 2011)

Dear friends

It has been a long time since I wrote you. I have not updated you about the recent situation of Hector Aleem Chairman Peace Worldwide because there are summer vacations of all courts in Pakistan and the month of Ramzan has also started. Working timings during these days are 8 to 12 and people barely do any work during these timings. The courts will open after 15 September.

Dear friends three months have passed since Hector’s acquittal from the blasphemy case but the lawyer is waiting for the fees for these cases. As you know that my father has been trapped in all these non bail able cases only to keep him in the jail. I have now decided to run another donation campaign for the rest of the cases. I want you guys to donate at least $20 each; those who are able to pay more can pay more. We will be highly obliged. Your help has led us to the acquittal of blasphemy case and now we are hoping for your help. We need $2000. I am not asking anything for us, I am requesting for my father because he is in jail for three years and we cannot collect that much amount for the lawyer’s fee.

Dear Friends,

As you all know that Our Father Hector Aleem has been acquitted from that blasphemy case and now it has been proved that this case was false and was lodged due to that Church he was fighting for. The judge acquitted that case due to lack of evidence; in fact there was no evidence at all. Hector Aleem is still in jail because there were other cases on him which were lodged after that blasphemy case while he was still in jail to prevent him from getting out of the jail. Now all the other cases which are four in number are also baseless just like that blasphemy case. And there is no evidence in all those cases. Of all cases lodged on Hector Aleem (including that blasphemy case) there is no evidence against him. This is not the end of our struggle because only that blasphemy case is finished and other four cases are here. We still need your moral and practical support and we also need your prayers. We still got to pay the fees to the lawyer, now he proved himself that he is the best lawyer here and he is also very confident about other cases but he is asking for his fee. And there are some things we got to provide to daddy in the jail. So it would be very much appreciated if you help us till we get out of this situation. Also please donate for the lawyer’s fee and things that are needed to be provided to Hector Aleem in jail.

Here is the TRANSLATION:

"Additional District and Session Judge Mr. Sarfaraz Akhter took a strict notice on those who lodged a false blasphemy case. He ordered the CPO Rawalpinidi to investigate about the case and also ordered to take a strict action against those who gave false testimonies i.e. Sub - Inspector Zafar Iqbal, Mir Abdullah, Riaz, Constable Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Akram, and the complainant Tahir Iqbal Chisti. He ordered to take severe action on them and also ordered strictly to the Secretary Prosecution Punjab to take action on District Public Prosecution who passed the Challan of this false and poor investigation case. The lawyer of the accused Hector Aleem and others Mr. Ghufran Khurshid Imtiazi provided the Court Orders to the CPO to take action. A case of Disrespecting the accused will also be lodged. Court dropped the Charges on three of the Accused."

Now here its written that a case of disrespecting the accused will be lodged against the complainants but we wont do it.......because we want to get rid of this court procedure as soon as possible and we wont be going to any court to lodge any case on anyone.

Charges of Blasphemy on Hector Aleem are now dropped

Good news, the blasphemy charges have been dropped. the judge acquitted daddy and I didn't know that this judge will acquit him because this is the lower court and normally the lower court doesn't acquit the blasphemy victims. well the judge ordered to take strict actions against the investigation officer and the prosecution. as soon as I get the copy of the decision I will post it to you because I, myself don't know the whole order but I know that the judge said that the Charges on daddy are now dropped and he is acquitted from that case and he also ordered the higher officials of the Police to take strict action against the Investigation Officer (Who investigated Daddy's Case). BUT there are other minor cases left which are four in number. But they will also be finished because the main case is over now and its good that daddy is still in jail for his protection because the news of acquittal will make the mullahs crazy that is why the judge announced the decision on 6:45 PM the time of the court is till 4. the judge did it for security purpose.waiting for some other good news!!!
The bad times are at the end and will be finished soon but we all still need your help.

Update about the final arguments of Hector's case

yesterday was daddy's hearing, and it went very good. the judge asked some logical questions to the lawyer of plaintiffs and he was unable to give answers to those questions than he started to point out dad personally, he was mentioning and in my opinion that goes in our favor. the argument is not finished yet and our lawyer will have to argue on 31st of May. I cannot give you more details about that conversation because of security issues. but dont worry I will tell you guys each and every detail. please all of you, pray for daddy and his health and also for the positive result of trail. many thanks to those who have already helped us. and those who can help us please help us morally and practically.

Hector Aleem had a Heart Attack in Jail

Greetings dear friends

Yesterday was daddy's hearing, he was not there, we came to know that he had heart attack last night that is why he was not able to make it. He does not have any medical facilities and neither any facility of doctor in jail, and we also dont have much sources to give him medicines. As you all may know that he is a heart patient and he had his first Heart Attack on 15 September, 2006 and after that he had an Angioplasty (Operation of Heart) and then he was fine but he had to take medicines of course. The jail authorities due to their personal grudge are not giving him medicines for his heart and are also not providing him and doctor which is very sad. We just know that he is fine now but not giving him medicines is a shameful act done by the authorities. The judge gave him another date which is 4 of June 2011 but the hearing for blasphemy law case is 26th of May 2011.

Also we are about to start a Supreme Court campaign in which we will encourage you all to write letters to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Because as we can see now, the Supreme Court of Pakistan is stronger then the government of Pakistan.

I want all friends to pray for us and tell God to provide some sources, and all friends tell your other friends and churches to pray for us and do anything that can help us or anything that can support the case.

Saturday was daddy's hearing for the last argument, the judge had studied our case very well because he was the new one. than our lawyer started the argument because the plaintiff's lawyer was not available. our lawyer did his arguments the argument was not completed and the judge raised some legal points which the plaintiff's lawyer had to answer. so the judge gave another date which is 19 of may. we have reached here just because of you guys and we still need your prayers and if possible financial help. do pray for us we need them.

Hello, everyone!

Thank you so much for your continued thoughts, prayers, and support. The Aleems have been receiving many notes of encouragement, and they’re grateful for your petitions, letters, and donations.

Below is an update of Hector’s case, along with suggestions on how you can help.

UPDATE
On December 21 of last year, Hector was sentenced to seven years in prison based on another charge. The Aleems understand that you want to see the decision note by the judge, but they have been refused access to this documentation. They believe it is because the decision is a baseless one that contained no proof, and was used as a means to keep Hector in prison for protecting the Christian community. Furthermore, until the family receives that written decision form, they will not be able to file an appeal in a higher court.

In addition, the blasphemy case is still ongoing in the courts. Because the charges of blasphemy are baseless in the first place, Hector’s lawyer has applied to quash (discharge) it. As such, the court is legally obligated to hold on the trial until the application to quash is investigated. Unfortunately, this has not happened: due to pressure from Sunni Tehreek—the accusers—the trial is going on without investigating the veracity of the charges! The trail has reached its final stages, and the lawyers will be presenting final arguments soon.

HOW TO HELP
I know the above sounds complicated. The Aleems know that, and are in fact living through this. They are frustrated at how the law is acting against them, rather than protecting them.

COPY AND PASTE ORGANISATIONS

Today I have planned to write about all organizations of the world who claims that they are helping the persecution of Christians all over the world. I have also taken this step to write it because whenever I ask people to help me for my dad or help me to collect fee for our lawyer they tell me to contact ICC or VOM or CLAAS or AMNESTY. But dear friends when my father arrested, I wrote to all these organizations but nobody helped us. Now I will also be posting some of their responses here.

First of all I would like to make clear everything about CLAAS. This organization is working for persecuted Christians in Pakistan and they are specially working for blasphemy law in Pakistan. Joseph Francis the president of CLAAS also very well known to our family, we were like family and whenever he used to come toIslamabad he takes breakfast with daddy along with his staff. When my daddy was arrested we asked for his help and he gave us his lawyer named Malik Asif Taufeeq Awan. Now if they gave us the lawyer they were suppose to pay him also. They didn’t pay him and we paid Asif from our own pocket and the amount was 1, 60,000 PKR. And after that he left us because he didn’t get any money neither from us nor from CLAAS. When we asked for shelter because we left our house because of danger, Joseph Francis told us to get some house on rent because CLAAS cannot provide us any shelter. They do give shelter to other victims but God knows why not us. They just came on the day of daddy’s arrest and took some pictures of mess made by the police, ate dinner at our home with our money even they knew that we are the victims. We were serving them, the team of 3 people. They didn’t do anything except taking pictures. The story of CLAAS doesn’t finish here, when any organization wants to help us CLAAS tells them that they are already helping us. So CLAAS neither wants to help us nor they let anybody to help us.

Now about the AMNESTY, I wrote many e mails and letters to Amnesty, and if you Google my or my father’s name you will find some of those letters. But they didn’t reply and now a friend of mine mailed me that he contacted the Portuguese Amnesty and they told him that Amnesty in Pakistan told them that CLAAS is already helping us. Wow if CLAAS is really helping us I really need some proof here.

Now VOICE OF MARTYRS a friend of mine wrote a letter to VOM and he got this response :

Greetings in the name of our Lord.

VOM did follow up on this hom. Originally there was a land dispute and a false blasphemy case was registered against him. He was released from this charge and then caught and charged for his involvement in human trafficking. Now the U.S. FBI is on his case. His daughter is making appeals all over the world begging for money for him.

This person is not persecuted for his faith and the internet reports are false and untrue. Will not be helping him.

First of all I’ve been telling in all my writings that my father has been falsely involved in other criminal cases but I think they just need some excuse to not to fight for the case and the guy said that my father is now released from the case, what a joke. They can’t even investigate properly before telling people their lies. And now the FBI is on his case. What does FBI have to do with this case? I think the guy is just showing some personal grudge here and now he is declaring all internet reports false and not true. So I think all reports in the website of VOM are also fake and untrue because they also copy and paste these news. God knows if they are true or not. Can this Ted thing prove that?

Now comes the ICC, I came in touch with the employee of ICC through a friend of mine. At first the lady gave me hope that they will actually help us but after contacting their contact in Pakistan. The name of that contact is Asif, but God knows what Asif told them they told me that they won’t be able to help us. Here is her mail.

Dear Mehwish,

First of all, I would like to apologize for not replying sooner. We definitely understand your situation and the plight of the entire family as your dad goes through this difficult time. It’s my strong hope and prayer that everything will be settled soon and your dad will be free. From our part, I really feel sorry to tell you that we aren’t in the position to pay for the lawyer’s fee. Please let’s know how the situation is going.

Now comes the ALLIANCE DEFENCE FUND this organization helps people in their legal matters and also provide the lawyer and if they already have the lawyer they attach their own lawyer with the victim’s lawyer and fight for their case and this is the reply our lawyer got from them

BRITISH PAKISTANI CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION in the beginning they said that they would help us but what they actually did was start a new post in his blog with the name of WHAT IS TRUTH and allows everybody to write against my father and increased his blogs viewers. After so many months, I wrote him so many mails to help us but NO REPLY. Another example of COPY PASTE organizations.

We are the victims and we can tell better that nobody helped us. Why am I asking help from normal people because they try to help, they write to these organizations and do anything they can, ask other friends for help but these organizations, they are just copy paste organizations. They copy an incident from one site and paste it in their blog or website and increase the visitors of their site or blog. Okay I can understand they don’t want to help my dad because they hate him what about Assia Bibi? Any body came forward? Anybody gave lawyer to her? Or gave shelter to the family of Assia?

If I was getting help from any of these organizations I would never ever ask for any help from anyone.

Salman Taseer Shot Dead by his own Guard!

Today governer of Punjab shot dead by his own security gaurd. The guard belonged to an Elite Force, The Elite force is a special force assigned for the safety of people. As he was the governer of the biggest province of Pakistan and obviously a special person the Elite force was assigned to gaurd him but the security gaurd shot him with 27 bullets and Salman died. Salman Taseer was the same person who was struggling for Assia Bibi's release. This is Pakistan. If the governer isn't safe here than a normal person cannot be. Elite force is the same force who is assigned to bring daddy from jail to court and this is the so called security for daddy. How can I think that my father is safe in the hands of Islamists and extermists? The government cannot save their own governer than how a normal Human Rights Activist can survive here? Do you think its justice? the killer of salman is very proud of killing him and he was smiling at the time of his arrest. The Islamists and exteremists are happy and they are giving sweets to eachother because they think that its a good thing. what kind of people are they? They are happy on someones death? Salman was continuously said in his statements that he is receiving threats but nobody paid any attention. In the same way I am telling everybody again and again that our and my daddy's lives are in danger but I think people will believe when some proud muslim will be more proud after killing us. TIME TO THINK but I know its only another update or mail for you which will be deleted without reading.

Hector Aleem Sentenced!

On 21st of December, was daddy's hearing and many Talibans from Peshawar gathered in the court and chanted slogans against daddy and they were holding the prisoner uniforms because daddy wasn't convicted yet because only convicted people can wear the uniforms in prison. The judge went under pressure and he gave daddy a 7 years sentence and 50,000 Pakistani Rupees fine. I didn’t know why judge give him the sentence because there was no evidence and even the investigation officer wrote in his statement that he filed the case on an oral statement and he didn't find any evidence against daddy neither he recovered anything (this case wasn't the blasphemy case, it was one of those cases which were lodged after daddy’s arrest to prevent him from getting out of jail), God knows what is going to happen. I am so upset. I don’t know for how long we are going to ask for donation, I really want some money right now because when we go to the High Court we will file an appeal against this decision.
Due to lots of dangers we cannot study or work in Pakistan. And I don't know for how long we have to suffer this. We cannot spend this precious time in sitting here and wait for people's help. We really have to do something. Please put yourself in our shoes and you'll understand everything. I don't how daddy is going to tolerate this, He is a heart patient and two days back a prisoner died in prison because he had a heart attack and the doctor came after 04 hours. Prisoners are not safe in Adiyala you must have read about the kidnap of 11 prisoners from Adiyala Jail. Anything could happen any time. We really need to do something
In the statement of the Investigation Officer, He said that he didn't recover anything neither he had any proof and he has filed the case on an oral statement. After few days on another hearing daddy gave me a letter because we are not allowed to talk to him so he gave me a letter in which he wrote this.

On 21 of Dec special central judge gave me 7 years imprisonment and said emotionally that
I DO NOT NEED ANY PROOF I TOOK THE REVENGE OF DR. AFIA SIDDIQUI, the investigation officer stated in his statement that the complainant didn’t give me any written or documentary proof. Neither I my self found any proof against Hector. I registered this case on oral statement.
Dear brothers and sisters Pakistan is very difficult country for minorities especially for Christians. If America attacks on Afghanistan or Iraq, Pakistani Muslims burn and destroy our houses and churches and loot our valuables and properties. They put us in jail without any proof; judges give their decisions against Pakistani Christians and give them death sentences without any proof. It is so surprised that we are born in Pakistan but still we are not Pakistani, Muslims always thinks and says that we are American or European agents’ on the other hand American and European government thinks that we are untouchable creatures. They don’t allow us in their embassies, they hire Muslims in their embassies, they do not issue visas to Christians, and they do not raise their voice in our favor. My brothers and sisters, is there any third option for me and for my children? I am in jail since 2 years, my wife and kids are hiding their selves. They are not safe in Pakistan. My sons are not going to schools and my both daughters and wife cannot do any job. They are educated persons they can earn money but they cannot because of danger they are facing. How can my family survive? No one is ready for their financial support. American and European countries support and give financial help to Islamic NGOs and people and countries but the Islamists always like to help Talibans. Its time to wake up. Please do something for your Christian brothers and sisters and all Christians who are suffering in Pakistan. There are so many Christians in Pakistan who are suffering but you don’t know about them. We are not allowed any facilities or to go to the Church or to read Holy Bible here but you give them proper places to worship in your countries even they are allowed to use loud speakers in mosques but we aren’t allowed to raise our voice for destroyed church.

This is so very upsetting if the judge is making up this case and compare it with Dr. Affia's case, than this thing is very serious now. Now I know why he gave my father this sentence. This shows his grudge and discrimination for Christians.

I know I must have been very irritating for you but I really really want some money. We are going to the High Court for the dismissal of this decision and we really need money to file the application in the High Court.
I have stopped living in fantasies. Think about a time when you felt depressed, lonely, and unfairly treated. Your self-esteem was then lower, you questioned yourself, and—in some more extreme cases, albeit not infrequently—you might have even wondered if you wanted to live.

We’ve all been there. I have been over the last few weeks.

I won’t delve into the reasons for my recent melancholy, but I’ll tell you that, at 4:30 pm today, I felt I could be happy for a hundred years. Why? Because my research supervisor looked me in the eyes, told me he valued my work, and asked me to not allow others to get to me.

Such a small compliment made my day.

I think Hector would feel the same way if you sent him a Christmas card this year. You might feel that your perfunctory “Merry Christmas” adds no value, but for someone who’s been unfairly imprisoned, tortured, and held in a jail section for death inmates, it can mean the world to him to know there is someone out there thinking about him.

You don’t have to be an eloquent writer to write something to him. Personally, I sent him a card reminding him to stay strong, and wishing him a Merry Christmas.

Please try to avoid writing against Islam, though. We would not be helping Hector if his guards were to read disparaging material about Islam; they could even use it as further ammunition to harm him.

Update and A Good News

For the first time ever we are about to share some good news with you. As you all know that Our Father Hector Aleem is falsely accused of Blasphemy charge. And you also know that Sunni Tehreek (A terrorist organization) is behind that and lodged that case on our father. And you also know that when daddy was arrested, Sunni Tehreek lodged more cases on him (with different plaintiffs) to prevent him of getting out of the jail. But these other cases were lodged on him when he was in jail. Hector Aleem was arrested in January 2009 due to that Blasphemy case and after three months i.e. on April 2009 more cases were lodged on him which were some other criminal charges. Of course all these cases are false and there is no evidence against our father. That was done to prevent him from getting out of the jail and to increase tension for him and his family and to torture him mentally. Those cases are being processed along with that Blasphemy case. But the good news is that our father Hector Aleem has been released from three of those Criminal cases because there was absolutely no evidence against him. In the order the judge wrote “since two years there has not been any kind of evidence against Hector Aleem, and those cases were lodged against him due to the personal enmity of the plaintiff so he is now released from these three cases”. But he is still in jail due to that Blasphemy charge and some other cases which are still being processed. We are 1000% sure that our father Hector Aleem will be released from these other criminal cases too as they are all at the end and there is no evidence against him. But that Blasphemy case is still very dangerous because it carries death penalty if convicted. Blasphemy case is also at the end, and there are only final arguments left. But the judge who was processing the Blasphemy case has been changed, we don’t know if he has been changed by the government or what but the new judge is about to come. We don’t even know the name of that new judge and that’s why the processing has been delayed till 4th December 2010. Our lawyer is doing an awesome job but he is asking for the fee. We paid him a lot, but still he is asking for the fee and I think that he will continue to ask for the fee until our father is released from jail. Sunni Tehreek (A terrorist organization) announced that to all lawyers that “a person who take the case of Hector Aleem will be killed”. Now all other lawyers are afraid to take the case of Hector Aleem, there was another person from Pakistan who is a lawyer and was a member of this group agreed to take the case our father but when he saw the danger of Mullahs and that terrorist organization Sunni Tehreek, he refused to help us. Our current lawyer is the only lawyer in whole Pakistan who is brave enough to take our father’s case and says “my life and profession are in danger due to your case that’s why you will have to pay me whatever I ask you to pay, and if you wont pay me….I will stop working and will resume working when you will pay me” So we are in this situation. It all happened in front of you, nothing was happening when this group was started in April 2010 but now things are changing. You all have supported us this far, we need your support once again and hopefully when this time we will pay our lawyer his fee…our father will be released thanks to all of you. The example of Asia Bibi is in front of you, she is convicted and is about to be hanged to death. There are many protests going on in Pakistan against Asia Bibi and all Blasphemy victims, Mullahs want to kill them all. Because of this the heat on our father’s case is increasing. And there are 99% chances that Mullahs will gather outside daddy’s court again and will try to do something bad. So please don’t let the same thing happen to daddy like it happened to Asia Bibi. We are all very scared of this Blasphemy tension which is rising in Pakistan. Please pray for our father, pray for his safety and his release. Prisoners Are Not Safe In Adiyala Jail

The trail is at the end and hope that tomorrow will be the last arguments, I really don’t know other formalities but surely final arguments are near. If it won’t happen tomorrow than it could be done in few days. The court is SESSION COURT IN RAWALPINDI and the name of the judge is Mr. ALI IMRAN additional session judge.
Dear friends the case is at the end and we need lots of prayers, Please remember us in your prayers and also pray for our and daddy’s security. I have read a news today that 11 prisoners from Adiyala Jail (same jail in which daddy is kept) were kidnapped by the intelligence. And they are still missing even after the arrest of the superintendent of jail (because the superintendent handed them over to the intelligence) and the order of Supreme Court. So I am very scared of these circumstances, this is Pakistan and anything could happen anytime, the prisoners are not safe even in jail. Need more and more prayers. Mullahs Gathered at Hector Aleem's Hearing!

First of all I’d like to welcome new members.
As you all know that the trail of Our Father is at the end and as you all know that there is nothing against us and the mullahs knows that. That is why they are now pressurizing the judge to give the decision in their favor. As we always tells you that Mullahs gather outside the court and chant slogans against Christianity and daddy. We made their videos secretly. It is not allowed to take any camera inside the court and it was very dangerous for us to make this video. The judge is giving the hearings day by day. And we have to go to the court almost daily. These are two videos we made, one with the cell phone because the cell we got is not of good quality that is why the first video is of very bad quality but today we managed to take the camera of our aunt (mom’s sister) and we made this video. You can see that the Maulvies are gathered outside the court and the guy in brown turban is the plaintiff and the lawyer came out of the court is the plaintiff’s lawyer. In the end they chanted GIVE DEATH PUNISHMENT TO THE BLASPHEMER but we couldn’t film that part because we were so panicked that someone would catch us so we could not capture that moment.
Now I have request to all blogger friends to upload this video on your blogs and tell your friends that Hector’s life is in danger and someone should help us. We really need to pressurize the government and no body for the asylum has contacted us yet. We really need to bring daddy out of this situation. Please help us and please donate as much as you can. Dear group members,

As you all know that it’s going to be almost two years since our father’s arrest. Our father Hector Aleem is a man who really cares for his Christian brothers and sisters. And he never let go any kind of opportunity to help them. And that does not mean that he only worked for Christians, he worked for Muslims too because he is a Human Rights Activist. He helped everyone with his own pocket and never even thought of using money for his own self. He never ever thought of doing any kind of investment, all he did was helping the poor and oppressed minorities. Now he is in jail and there is no one to earn, that does not mean that we do not want to do any kind of job etc. We tried to do many jobs but when people come to know that our father Hector Aleem is in jail due to a false blasphemy offence then they either seize our salary or just fire us. Some people even tried to kill us; we received many death threats in various locations. People still threatening us on the internet, some even go to jail just to threat daddy. If anyone of you been to the Court for some reason then you must know that lawyers ask for a lot of money in the form of fees. But things in Pakistan are even worse, a lawyer in Pakistan consider himself a god and he thinks that he can ask for as much amount as he can. They ask for huge fees for themselves and extra fees for their juniors and Stenos. And then they also need money for the fuel of their cars. We did not know that lawyers ask that much amount, and that is why we said many times that our target is about to be complete. But not now, our lawyer still asks for a lot of money. But now we know that it’s the end because daddy’s case is about to end. I went to the Court myself and saw that the trial is about to end now. So it’s a request from all of you group members to please donate any amount you can so that we can give that money to the lawyer. We are helpless and we cannot say anything to the lawyer. We can’t even ask the lawyer to lessen the amount and we have to give him the exact amount he asks. We would really appreciate if you people donate any amount for our father Hector Aleem. It’s for the life of our father Hector Aleem. The charge placed on Hector Aleem is a blasphemy charge and it carries death penalty. Nothing happened in today's hearing because our lawyer didn't appear on today's hearing
We are more deserving than any other flood victim. They lost their house and everything because of natural disaster but we have lost everything of ours because of nothing. I just hate it. Why people are donating them who wont even appreciate because they consider it KAFIR (infidel) MONEY but we are Christians and waiting for help for two years but nobody came forward. I thank every body who has donated but still we need lots of money because of our lawyer, I asked lots of organisations but nobody agreed I am very sure if we were Muslims all these organisations would have helped us 100 times. people are donating these flood victims in millions but nobody can donate us $5000, we dont have much to eat but still we say that our father should be out we dont need money for anything else but I think people are heartless. We have paid our lawyer $1000 and unlimited to his clerk for filing and papers and to him for the gas of his car this amount makes another $1000 and he doesn't considers it as fee but only expenses for him but he didn't appear in court in today's hearing because he want all money together. Even our own church didn't help us. I get $1,$2 or $5 and sometimes $50 or $100 which is very rare. What can this amount do? A sister is helping us in collecting donations and I know she is having too much trouble even from her own Church and I asked another brother to request people for donation on his group but he refused because he said telling people to collect money will lessen his readers and members, they all will leave the group immediately. People can spend $15 or $20 in buying useless Shane Dawson or Shay Tard shirts or buy farmville or mafia wars cash but they can't help someone who's life is in risk. We are living in this difficult country that we cannot even do jobs. But nobody even arranged any asylum for us.

Update About Hector Aleem 21/08/2010

Dear group members.

21st August 2010 was the hearing of Hector Aleem, so here is the update about the hearing. First of all our lawyer asked the judge for the stay, because the High Court has given the stay for the quashment of the case and advised the lower court not to proceed until the High Court allows the lower court but as the judge of the lower court is very discriminative, he was not ready to give the stay even after the order of the High Court but after our lawyer gave some legal points and told him to wait until the judgment of the High Court he agreed not to proceed but the Mullahs and the Lawyer of the plaintiff pressurized him to proceed other wise they will protest and will destroy the court, the judge than started the proceeding. All the witnesses were available and our lawyer had to question them but the Investigation officer of Hector’s case was not available, so the judge has ordered the IO (investigation officer) to come on the next hearing. During the argument of both lawyers (our and plaintiff’s) they both argued so harshly and were about to had a physical fight. But the judge ordered both of them to calm down. And gave the next date of hearing. This all situation tells us that our lawyer is quiet brave and is ready to face any situation.

Imagine one evening you hear a knock on the door. When you open it, a group of armed men with police uniforms enter your house, beat you and handcuff you. Your wife and children are terrorized, but they are told to shut up or they too will be beaten.

Thoughts rush to your mind. You try to figure out what did you do to deserve this treatment. You have been an upright citizen all your life. In fact you have been a human rights activist and have received an award for your services. You have been a respected speaker. Could all this be a mistake?

You ask the officers about the charges. Their response sends chill down your spine. You are being accused of blasphemy. You are a non-Muslim living in a Muslim majority country and all it takes for you to lose your freedom, job, friends, social standing and even life is for someone to report to authorities that you have spoken opprobriously of Muhammad and hence have injured the religious sensitivity of Muslims.

This is the nightmare that minorities in Islamic countries face. The charge does not have to be true. It could be that someone owes you money and he wants to get rid of you. It could be that someone offered to buy your land, which you refused to sell at the price he was offering. Or maybe someone does not like you because you are a human rights activist fighting for the rights of the oppressed minorities.

Abuses such as this happen on daily basis in Pakistan. More than two years ago, it was the turn of Hector Aleem. Aleem was taken to custody. He was brutally beaten by the police and thrown in a prison cell.

In Pakistan, if you are accused of blasphemy you are guilty until proven otherwise. But to prove your innocence it takes years and thousands of dollars. The lawyers' fee is exorbitant, whereas the wages in Pakistan are extremely low.

Aleem's family has spent all its wealth in legal fees to prove the innocence of their father. Hector's wife earns the meager salary of a nurse. The two elder daughters work but there are five mouths to feed and the legal fee is eating up everything they earn.

More than a year ago, when the case went to the court for the first time, the prosecutor, himself a mullah, did not find enough evidence against Aleem to support his charges. However, he warned the judge that should he release Aleem, the angry mob huddled inside and outside the court may kill him and the judge also may not fare better. This is exactly what happened on July 19 of this year to two Christian brothers, who were gunned down by Muslim militants when they left the court under police custody after a trial hearing in Faisalabad city, Punjab province.

So, Aleem was sent back to jail to face more beating in the hands of his jail keepers. They even told him that they would kill him before setting him free. Aleem's family appealed the court's ruling and a second hearing was arranged. This is where we are at now. The new lawyer is confident, but of course he has to be paid first and his fees are beyond what this impoverished family can afford.

A kind man from Australia has offered to sponsor Hector Aleem and provide him with a working visa. But first Aleem must be released. More than $7000 dollars are needed just for the legal fees. The blasphemy law is an affront to human rights. It is devised to legally persecute the minorities. Even if you are not guilty you'll be annihilated before you prove your innocence. The objective of the blasphemy law is to get rid of the minorities by incriminating them one by one.

Isn't it time for the governments of the free world to demand Pakistan to put an end to legalized religious persecution? Pakistan is recipient of large sums of aids from the western countries and particularly from USA. But its only contributions are to persecute the minorities and to produce terrorists.

Please contact your member of parliament, your congressman and the senators in your country and ask them to demand the release of Hector Aleem and to raise the issue of human rights abuses in Pakistan. It is time for the European Parliament, the US congress and the Parliaments in Canada and Australia to condemn the blasphemy law and demand its immediate repeal.

It is a shame that the same governments that swiftly pass laws to protect Muslims against criticism of Islam, find no courage to stand up for the human rights of minorities in Islamic countries. Aren't human rights more important than beliefs? Where is the outcry of the parliamentarians, presidents and prime ministers of the free world vis-à-vis these human rights abuses?

Also, please contact the Pakistani embassy in your country as well as the following Pakistani authorities, by phone or by email and express your concern about the dismal human rights in that country. Demand the immediate release of Hector Aleem and the repeal of the blasphemy law. God does not need humans to defend him. The blasphemy law is legalization of persecution. It has no place in any civilized society and no civilized country should tolerate it anywhere. Your government has no right to send your tax money to a pariah country like Pakistan that has a law to persecute minorities.

What Happened in the High Court today!

Ty brothers and sisters........Today we went to the court but the lawyer of opponent party was not ready and he asked for some time. On the other hand our lawyer did an awesome job, he raised many legal points and judge was very impressed by our lawyer and Judge was on our side. But there were many Mullahs and they began to shout slogan against Christianity.......they were shouting "DEATH TO CHRISTIANITY" After the hearing we ran away from the court and hid ourselves in an office of our lawyer's friend. When the coast was clear we came back to home. We ran away from the court because we heard one of them saying that we must do something to Hector's family to teach that bloody infidel some lesson. We need more prayers..........Thank you once again for praying.

Dear supporters of Hector Aleem,

I am very sorry that I didn't update you on time. so here is the update of Hector's case.

1- Our lawyer who was working for us has ran away and after that we found another lawyer who is a Supreme Court lawyer and he has taken our case. When he took our case he told me that first of all he will make Hector out than we will give him his fee but as soon as he took our case he started demanding high fee as he is a SUPREME COURT LAWYER. That is why the amount is bigger than before. I know those who has donated for the previous lawyer do not like this but believe me we are more upset and our case which is very dangerous that even lawyers feels uncomfortable and no organization has helped us that is why we have to do all this alon.

2- Fee receipt of the lawyer is attached but this time I am being more careful. But still we have to collect donations. Do donate any amount you can and if you have already donated than please tell your friends to donate.

3- 22 July is the date of petition filed by our lawyer in High Court. We hope that our FIR ( first information report) will be quashed (cancelled) by the high court judge because it was filed illegal because an individual cannot lodge the blasphemy FIR. A senior officer is supposed to be the plantiff in the blasphemy case and before lodging it he has to investigate the case properly.

4 - As you know that two brothers from Faisalabad having same case i.e. Blasphemy case were shot dead yesterday in Faisalabad - Pakistan and no Police Officer did anything in fact they supported the killer in shooting the victims. Because the killer was only one guy and Police men were many in number but still those two brothers were killed. The reason to tell you this is Hector Aleem is arrested in that false blasphemy case and this case is the most dangerous case in Pakistan. A person can be killed by anyone anytime. So please pray for Hector Aleem's safety and also do write to Pakistani Government for his safety.

Hello Everyone,

Like we have told you before that Hector Aleem has been disppeared for almost one week. But now we came to know that the terrorist organization Sunni Tehreek took him with the help of FIA (Fedral Investigation Agency) and ldged another case against him. I really dont know his physical situation because if they took him then they must have beaten him. So I will tell you his situation as soon as I get any news. we just came to know that Hector Aleem is back in jail today. We need to bring him out as soon as possible because now we are sure that he is not even safe inside the jail. And if we dont do anything fast then these kind of things can happen again. Like we told you before Sunni Tehreek is a very powerful terrorist organization in Pakistan which is against Hector Aleem.

It is to inform you all that Hector Aleem has been disappeared suddenly from Jail. We can’t find him anywhere. When our lawyer sent legal papers in jail to get them signed by Hector Aleem then the Jail authorities told that Hector Aleem is NOT in jail and some agencies took him somewhere. We are trying for three days to confirm that where is daddy but no one is able to tell us anything. Our lawyer has searched him in each and every Police Station of Rawalpindi/Islamabad but we couldn’t find him anywhere. Three days have passed now and we still don’t have any clue about daddy. We don’t know if he is being tortured somewhere or being kidnapped. Even Jail authorities can’t tell where he is now. They just say, “Some agencies took him”. But they don’t tell us that where he is and who took him? Please pray for him and tell your friends and family to pray for daddy. If you got your blogs then please publish it in your blogs, and if your friends got any kind of blog then please tell them to publish this news. This is not fair that daddy is not even safe inside the jail, and we don’t know where he is now.

RE: Hector Aleem’s False Blasphemy Allegation Charges

I write to you in order to raise your attention to the case of the imprisoned Peace Worldwide human activist Hector Aleem.

The high-ranking human rights activist from Karachi committed himself to working on human rights through Peace Worldwide. Peace Worldwide is a non governmental organisation registered with the government of Pakistan, which was established by Hector Aleem, the Chairman, in 1996. Peace Worldwide has special consultative status with The Economic and Social Council of United Nations. The NGO was working on human rights without any discrimination for religious beliefs; it was also working on Blasphemy Law and has highlighted and solved some of those cases. There were also many schools that were running under Peace Worldwide, but these schools were closed in 2004 due to the pressure from the Maulvies (Muslim extremist group in Pakistan), as they accused Hector Aleem of teaching Christian doctrine to the Muslim children, the threat letter is attached. Following this incident, he moved with his family to Islamabad for fear of being threatened or harmed.

Hector Aleem was awarded a Peace Award by Mr. Yousaf Raza Gillani, the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He was also invited by Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, the President of Pakistan and many other important politicians of Pakistan because of his great work in human rights, which only speaks of his great commitment to helping people and his noble character. All invitations and pictures are attached.

Hector was arrested at midnight on the 21^st of January 2009. A large number of policemen raided his house, and beat him and his family (his wife Kauser Parveen Aleem, and four children, Mehwish, Misbah, David John and Simon Yaqoob). He is now in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, and his case is registered in R.A. Bazaar Police Office in Rawalpindi. According to the FIR (First Information Report) an unknown person sent a blasphemous SMS to the leader of a Sunni Tehreek. The SIM card was not registered so they searched for the culprit. When they saw the list of the persons the culprit contacted, they found that the only Christian was Hector. No other person whom the culprit called (90 people) was interrogated or arrested. Hector maintains that he did not send the blasphemous message, he was arrested because he was the only Christian in the list.

The family is currently hiding in a house somewhere in Islamabad, for fear of being harmed or even killed. I am in touch with Hector’s daughter Mehwish, and she has been informing me of the current situation. Hector is still in jail, due to be released soon according to his attorney. The family is looking to leave the country and move to Canada as asylum seekers due to religious persecution as soon as Hector is released. Their attorney advised them to leave the country as soon as possible as the Muslim extremists will probably seek to kill Hector if he is released. Canada seemed as the best option, as it is known for its tolerance for people who are in a similar situation as the Aleems.

I appeal to you, to use your influence and to immediately review the case of Hector Aleem and his family. Please find attached a petition signed by several individuals who testify of the validity of Hector’s false blasphemy allegation case and are in support of this appeal. Other documents are enclosed as proof of the validity of his case.

“The [prosecuting] Lawyer of Sunni Tehreek has still not arrived from Umrah, that’s why his junior lawyer came for the hearing. Daddy was also there, we saw him but we were not able to talk to him because we were in burqas (for security purpose). The junior lawyer started with the sentence: "I can't tolerate to see this blasphemer standing in front of me; I really want to kill him with my own hands" Judge was there but he didn't say anything to stop him from using that kind of language.

“Our lawyer and Sunni Tehreek's junior lawyer debated (I don’t know the legal word of debate in court language) for one hour and their lawyer was continuously saying that Hector Aleem should be punished or else we will do our own justice. Daddy and lawyer were saying that the real culprit has been caught and legally I should be free from this case but the lawyer of Sunni Tehreek was not trying to listen anything. He gathered many other lawyers from the lawyers bar and they were all in favor of Sunni Tehreek and they chanted slogans against daddy and Christianity. As the lawyer of Sunni Tehreek isn't here so judge gave another date of hearing i.e 27 May 2010.

“After that we went to the lawyer's chamber, there lots of media or maybe people from some news agencies were waiting for the lawyer. So he hid us in his chamber after 3 hours we left his chamber when everybody was gone. In fact YESTERDAY WAS A HORRIBLE DAY.

“Tell people to pray for us and write to our government and other officials to have mercy on us and free my father.

“This was the situation of yesterday. but one important thing Facebook is banned in Pakistan for unknown days due to the 20th May… as we can’t visit Facebook for some days so you have to post this mail there and tell everybody that we can’t visit for few days. And i will inform you about [the May 27 hearing] too.”

Dear All.

Christian human rights activist and director of NGO Peace Worldwide, Hector Aleem, was taken into custody in January 2009 because a militant Islamic group accused him of sending a ‘blasphemous’ text message from his cell phone. If convicted, he faces the death penalty under Pakistani law.

Prior to the 55-year-old’s arrest, Aleem was threatened by Islamic groups with assassination attempts and lawsuits because he objected to the illegal destruction of a church by Islamabad’s capital development authority (CDA). Muslim leaders threatened to kill him and his sons, and to forcibly convert his daughters to Islam.

Although a heart patient, Aleem has not been allowed to consume his medication and he has been denied visitation in prison. He was denied bail because Islamic mobs filled his trial courtroom and threatened to kill the judge, Aleem, and Aleem’s lawyer.

Aleem is the recipient of a peace award by Pakistan’s Prime Minister.

A Facebook group set up for him consists of freedom-loving members, from all around the world and of all different beliefs, or lack thereof, united for Hector Aleem’s right to freedom, dignity, and fair due process. For instance, one letter received by the Aleems read "You are Christian and it is a good deed to kill you. My Allah will be very happy if I kill you." (See here and here.)

It has been over a year since Hector has been incarcerated. His family urgently needs you and your friends to raise funds for Hector as soon as possible. The breakdown for these funds are as follows:

- Because no lawyer wants to take Hector’s (locally unpopular) case, only one lawyer agreed to represent him for a relatively high price of $2,500. Unless he receives this amount by the end of this month, he will not represent Hector!

- Hector requires medication in prison. He also needs clothing and hygienic supplies. His family, living for over a year without their father’s support, are also in need for housing, hygienic, and nutritional items. They have had little to eat – not even the most basic food items you would typically have on the table. The family estimates that they would need approximately $250 to cover these expenses for Hector and themselves.

These seem like large amounts. However, please donate any amount you can, even if it’s a few dollars. Many small donations quickly add. Even a few dollars can go a long way in Pakistan!

At a time that the United Nations calls Switzerland's ban on new minarets "clearly discriminatory and deeply divisive,” and the whole world is condemning the swiss for their vote, I would like to bring to the attention of the world my plight.

My name is Mehwish Aleem and my father (Hector Aleem) is a human rights activist in Pakistan. He has been working as a human rights activist since 1996. He is running an NGO with the name of PEACE WORLDWIDE. Hector Aleem has worked for Christians and Muslims without prejudice. But today he is in jail and could be killed at any time.

My father was working for a church destroyed by CDA (capital development authority) in Islamabad Pakistan. The church was destroyed because according to CDA it was built illegally. The charge was false.

There are many mosques in Islamabad (the capital of Pakistan) that are built with no permit, but no one will dare to touch them. For example, there was a vacant lot near my house and a Maulvi (Muslim leader) started to build a mosque on it. The land belonged to an absentee owner. When the owner learned about it, he started to destroy the illegally built mosque on his property. Hundreds of Muslims rioted and threatened to kill the owner of the land. As the result he give up his land in order to save his life. The government did not intervene. Churches on the other hand are destroyed by the governments’ own agents.

When Hector Aleem objected to the destruction of the church he faced with several lawsuits ranging from fraud to criminal charges. He fought all of them in the courts and proved his innocence.

His opponents tried to assassinate him several times. The Maulvies threatened him that if he continues to work for the church they would kill him and his sons, and would force his dughters to convert to Islam.

During this time Hector Aleem received a Peace award by Mr. Yousaf Raza Gillani the prime minister of Pakistan. One month later, on 21st January, 2009 he was arrested by the police. They severely beat him and tortured him mentally and physically. After 24 hours of not knowing what were the charges, we were told that his offence is blasphemy, a charge that caries death penalty in Pakistan.

According to the first information report someone sent a blasphemous message to a leader of Sunni Tehreek (a Muslim extremist organization) and that sender had once contacted my father. So my father is guilty by association. Since they could not find the offender, they arrested my father.

Hector Aleem, is 51 years old and is a heart patient. He is not allowed to take his medication and is denied visitation. During his trial a large mob gathered in front of the court chanting slogans against him and threatened the judge that if he releases my father they will kill him themselves and they will destroy the court and will also kill the judge and the lawyer who defended my father. Under the mob’s pressure, the judge refused bail. The lawyer of the plaintiffs, who is a Maulvi, told the judge that if he releases my father, he (my father) will be killed as soon as he steps outside the court.

Then on 24 June 2009, chief justice of Pakistan Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudry granted my father bail, but the Maulvies lodged many other criminal cases against him so that he cannot come out.
Hector Aleem is still in jail. It is one year since his capture. The police are in cahoots with the Maulvies. Once two policemen went to my father’s cell and told him that even if he is granted a bail they will not let a blasphemer out. They will lodge so many cases against him that he will not be able to bear them. Soon after that they proceeded to lodge more charges against my father. They used to take him to the police station every fifteen days, where they beat him and torture him in front of the Maulvies and the Taliban.

I am begging for help. I plead to all those who champion the right of Muslims to build more minarets to also care about the minorities in Islamic countries. We are fighting for our lives. Are Muslim minarets more important than our lives of non-Muslims?

Please sign my petition. Please write to the Pakistani authorities listed bellow and ask them to release my father Hector Aleem as soon as possible. He is not guilty of any crime and the accusations of blasphemy that are made against him are false. They want to destroy him because he objected to the destruction of a church.

Today, all our family is in hiding. All of us have received death threats. My siblings and I have left our studies and hide for our safety. There is no future for us in our country. If my father is released he will be killed by the mob. We need to get out of Pakistan. Please help us if you can. We don’t know where to turn and whom to ask for help.

There is so much hoo-ha about the ban of minarets in Switzerland, but will anyone hear our cry?

Please make our cry reach to the ears of those who care more for human life than building minarets. We have done nothing wrong. Our only crime is to be Christians in an Islamic country.

Please contact these authorities and tell them to release my father. They know Hector Aleem is innocent, they are afraid of the mob. Your concern will give them the excuse to act.

Blasphemy In Pakistan

My name is Mehwish Aleem and my father (Hector Aleem) is a human rights activist in Pakistan. He has been working in Pakistan as a Human rights activist since 1996. He is running an NGO with the name of PEACE WORLDWIDE. Hector Aleem has worked for Christian and Muslims without any discrimination but he is in jail for one year. I will tell you how it started; my father was working for a church destroyed by CDA (capital development authority) in Islamabad Pakistan. The church was destroyed because according to CDA the church was built illegal. Let me tell you one thing, there are many illegal mosques in Islamabad (the capital of Pakistan) but if any body even tries to touch it, all Muslims gathers and than as a result no body dares to touch it. One example I have seen with my own eyes. There was a vacant land near my house and a Maulvi (Muslim leader) started to build a mosque on that land which belonged to someone else. The Maulvi and his followers built that mosque, than one day the owner came and tried to destroy the mosque but all Muslims gathered and the owner had to leave his own precious land. But when it comes to Christians or churches no body cares. So when Hector Aleem raised his voice for the destroyed church he faced many cases which were criminal and fraud cases. These cases were lodged to prove that Hector Aleem is a criminal. But all those cases were proved false by the courts. The opponents also tried to assassinate him several times. And he also received verbal threats by the Maulvies that if he continued the work for church or Christians they will kill him and his sons and make his daughters Muslim. During this time Hector Aleem received a Peace award by Mr. Yousaf Raza Gillani the prime minister of Pakistan. Right after one month on 21 January 2009 Hector Aleem was arrested by the police, they beat him so bad and they tortured him mentally and physically. And after 24 hours we came to know that his offence is blasphemy 295c. 295ABC are the blasphemy offences, and Hector Aleem was working for these offences because these offences are being used as a tool to let Christians down by Muslims.
According to the FIR the (first information report) someone sent a blasphemous message to a leader of Sunni Tehreek (a Muslim extremist organization) and that sender once contacted Hector Aleem. And now instead of finding that sender they arrested Hector Aleem that he sent that blasphemous message.
Hector Aleem is 51 years old and he is a heart patient and he is not allowed to take his medicine and not allowed to visit his family. A big mob used to gather in front of court and they raised slogans against him and they threat the judge that if he releases him they will kill Hector Aleem themselves and they will destroy the court and the judge and the lawyer dealing Hector's case will be killed. That is why the judge from session court rejected his bail. The lawyer of the opponent party who is also a Maulvi threat the judge that if you release Hector Aleem we will take our own decision and will kill him outside the court.
Than on 24 June 2009 chief justice of Pakistan Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudry granted him bail but the Maulvies lodged many other criminal cases against him so that he cannot come out. Now Hector Aleem is still in jail. It has been one year since he is in jail. The police are also involved with the Maulvies and once two policemen went to Hector Aleem in jail and told him that even he is granted a bail they will not let a blasphemer out. They will lodge so many cases against him that he will not be able to bear them and than they started to lodge cases against him. They used to take him to the police station after 15 days and beat him and torture him in front of Maulvies and Taliban.
I want all of you to help us and write appeals to prime minister of Pakistan Mr. Yousaf Raza Gillani and the president Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and the chief justice of Pakistan Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudry to release Hector Aleem as soon as possible because he is innocent.

It is to inform all of you that Mr. Hector Aleem Country Director Peace Worldwide is in jail for a blasphemy offence and as he is in jail since 4 months, now another false case has been registered on him and the FIA police took him to the police station for seven days physical remand. The Sunni tehreek is behind all this and they are trying that Hector should not come out that’s why they are lodging many FIRs against him so that he could not come out.

He was working for human rights and Christian rights but he was sent to the jail in a false blasphemy case and he was beaten there and the police tried to make him give a statement that he did blasphemy. When the government officials were contacted they told everybody that he is in jail because of criminal offences. Our government hid the truth and gave false statements. Now today early in the morning he was taken to the special court in Rawalpindi and another FIR was lodged against him. Hector and his family are under the attack of Taliban. The Taliban are in direct contact with the Sunni Tehreek. They have prepared special pathans from Peshawar to trap him. The case they lodged against Hector is a case in FIA. And the FIR lodged against Hector is totally fake because it was lodged when he was in jail. How can he be in jail and commit another crime? I don’t know that what is happening in this country? On one side Hector is given a peace award and right after one month he was arrested in a criminal offence. Is he a criminal? The Islamists and talibans are trying to kill him.

I don’t know what they are going to do to with him he is a heart patient now he will be beaten by the police for another seven days. Where are the human rights organizations and all ministries? Are they sleeping? They are not going to wake up and a day will come when the saying of all those fundamentalists will come true that they are going to destroy Hector’s family his both sons and make his daughters and wife Muslims.

I have told everybody to pressurize the government to release Hector but nobody even wrote a letter to the government officials. What are you people waiting for? It is my request to please help us. If you have any queries you can call or investigate anything you want but please do something. We are one body of Christ we should help each other. All human rights organizations takes interest in blasphemy cases but nobody took interest in my father’s case. We are facing financial crisis for 4 months but nobody helped us. I am saying for 4 months that you should pressurize the government but nobody did. The license of our lawyer is going to be cancelled. Where should we get a lawyer from? when nobody is taking our case? Is this a justice? No one is with us, neither the government nor our Christian people. I don’t know what to do. It is my request to all of you to help us.

History Of Peace Worldwide!

Peace worldwide was established in 1996. It is a Christian organization working for human rights since 1996 without any discrimination but as a human rights activist Mr. Hector has faced many problems. His residence was looted in Karachi he then left Karachi with his family and shifted to Islamabad here he again started his work and established school for in which most of the students were Muslims. Then the Islamists attacked him in school and tried to kill him. Then he was again attacked by Muslim leaders they wanted to involve him in 295 BC, In this attack his leg was fractured. He also received a threat letter from an unknown person in which he wrote that Hector is working for America and he is an American agent and they will kill him and make his wife and daughters Muslim. Then on 3^rd of August 2004 a false case was registered against Mr. Hector for which he spent three months in prison and during this period the fundamentalists closed his school permanently and destroyed his office. Mr. Hector started his work once again. But again the fundamentalists tried to trap him because he was handling the church destroying case. Now they trapped him in blasphemy case because it is impossible to come out of jail in blasphemy offence. I want all of you to pressurize the government because the government is now not giving any response they are now saying that the blasphemy offence has finished and now other cases have opened.

Why other cases have opened? So that he cannot come out?
Why is he being tortured without any offence?
The mullahs are not letting him out. And now the government is in pressure of the mullahs.
If the government is in pressure of mullahs then how Hector can be saved? They could kill him during the investigation in lockup.
Why other FIRs are lodging against him while he is in police custody?
Are we living in the civilized world?
Are Christian leaders safe in Pakistan?
If Christian leaders are not safe then how can the public be safe?
Why national, international human rights organizations and Christian organizations silent?

Hector has served poor and oppressed people of Pakistan during his work. I want all of you to pray for him. And pressurize the government to release him and assure the safety of his and his family’s life.

Hector Aleem Arrested in a false blasphemy case!

It is to inform that Hector Aleem country director Peace Worldwide has been arrested by police in midnight on 21^st of January 2009. Police raided the house in midnight without any lady police and beat him and his family. They took some costly things also and broke the door. They didn’t inform them that why are they doing this. The family didn’t know why he has been arrested. His family came to know that he is arrested in a blasphemy act 295-C after 24 hrs. According to the police Mr. Hector has said some bad comments about Prophet Muhammad PBUH which he didn’t. When the family insisted for the FIR (first information report), nobody gave them the FIR. Nobody let them visit him. Then after 24 Hrs. they let them see Hector but they didn’t let them talk to him. They beat him brutally, hit him on all joints by stick and didn’t give him anything to eat. They didn’t let him wear warm clothes and shoes. Hector Aleem is working for human rights since 1996. He is an active human rights activist. He works for Christians and Muslims without any discrimination.

Hector is being trapped in response of his work for Christians of Pakistan. On august 2008 a church was destroyed by CDA (capital development authority) in Islamabad shehzad town and Hector worked a lot for it. All legal documents are available. Than Hector became very active in that case which caused so much trouble for him and FIRs were being lodged on daily basis. Than WASA (water and sanitation agency) came into the case claimed that the land belongs to WASA and they will destroy the church because it is built on the filtration line. The Christian community became aggressive and they didn’t let them destroy the church. Hector Aleem supported them by taking this matter to the Human Rights Ministry of Pakistan. Then WASA lodged many FIRs against him with different complainants but as he was innocent he was getting free from all cases and now they trapped him in blasphemy case which is very dangerous and if anybody is involved in this case he gets death punishment. So they made this serious case so he cannot get out. Mr. Hector has been given a peace award by prime minister of Pakistan which is on record. And on 22^nd of December 2008 he was invited by President Asif Ali Zardari on a Christmas gathering in which other important and famous personalities were also invited. So it is very clear that he is very active in peaceful activities that government also realizes his work and appreciated his work.

Now nobody knows that where is he and what are they doing to him. Is he being tortured? I want all of you to help him and to pressurize the government to release him because person under the blasphemy offence can be killed by anyone, police or any extremist or he can be killed during his visit to the court. They keep that person separate and do everything to him which is against the human rights. I also want you to do something for his safety for his life is in danger. And as he is an innocent he must get free immediately.
